Greetings Penguins,

Hot topic? Coins For Change! Everyone’s getting really stoked about it, and penguins all over the island are looking for ways to celebrate. There are lots of things you can do to help – one of the ways is to donate coins. I’d thought I’d get some ideas from Screenhog who knows lots about coins – and other stuff, too.

Q: Can you tell us any game secrets so we can collect coins faster?

A: There are games where bringing a certain color puffle will help you! There’s also the challenge of getting through Jet Pack Adventure without earning a single coin. There’s a big reward if you can do it.

Q: Any suggestions for penguins who want to do extra things to celebrate the season?

A: Well, Coins For Change is such a good time for helping others, so I’d suggest helping other penguins. Maybe if you see new penguins, give a tour! If someone’s looking for the pin, help them out. (Pssst… the in-pay is in the orest-Fay!)

Q: Are there other ways for penguins to celebrate Coins For Change?

A: There are lots of things you and your friends and family can do to make a difference for other people around the world! Volunteering some time is a good place to start. Let us know your ideas.

UPDATE: I just upgraded WordPress and now I’m having tons of trouble with SWFs. They are stuff like newspapers. It made me change the coding for it to appear. So even if you are a beta please find the messed up posts and comment that there is a problem. And if it says “UPDATE: The newspaper file disappeared!” You don’t need to comment because I wrote that.

UPDATE: You guys aren’t really helping. I’m thinking about closing the program, sorry Matuner. Is there any reason you guys aren’t doing anything? Please tell me if there is.

Other things that I did before may not show up.
Any other problems you can find.

Here are the answers:

1. Joe lives to be 52. How many birthdays does he have?

2. Divide 30 by half and add 10.

3. How many marbles can you put in an empty bag?

1, then its not empty.

4. There is a river. On one side (say side A) a man is standing with a tiger, a goat and a bunch of grass. The man has to transport each of them to the other side (say side B) of the river on a boat. Now the boat can carry one item at a time along with the man. How will he do it? Remember that the tiger can kill the goat if not attended by the man and the goat can eat the grass, when left alone.

The man would have to carry the goat first and keep it on the other side (side B) of the river, as the tiger will ‘definitely’ not eat the grass, even if left alone on side A. After having done this, he will come back from side B, take the tiger from side A along with him and put it on side B. Now while coming back again from side B, he will again carry the goat with him. This is because of the fact that if it is left alone on side B with the tiger, it will be killed. So, he will bring it back to side A, keep it and carry the grass to side B. Now, when he finally returns, he will carry the goat from side A to side B.

5. You have a cup placed on a table. You are pointing towards the North and the cup is facing towards the South. On which side is the cup’s handle?

No matter in which position the cup is, its handle will always be on the outside!

6. What goes up and down, but still remains in the same place?

Stairs!

7. You have 20 apples in a basket. 20 children come to you and each one of them ask for an apple. You want to give all the apples to each one of them, but still keep one inside the basket? How will you do it?

Give all the 19 apples to each one of them and give the basket to the last child with the apple still inside it.

8. Name all the numbers from 1 – 100, which have the letter ‘A’ in their spellings?

None! If you do not believe, try writing down all numbers in words, you won’t find the letter ‘A’ in any of them.

New Coloring Page!
